Harry Styles has been forced to cancel his latest show that was just 500 yards away from the shooting crime scene.
Yesterday, at around 17:30 local time, a mass shooting was carried out in one of Scandinavia’s largest shopping centres.
As per video footage of the attack, more than 100 people rushed out of the center. Others were forced to seek refuge inside.
Harry pays tribute to the victims & their families
The singer, 28, was left with no choice but to cancel his concert at the Danish capital’s Royal Arena.
Harry took to Twitter to express his concerns and admiration for the city of Denmark, he wrote:
“I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love.
‘I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting.
I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H.”
Styles was scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. local time and the organiser of the event even announced after the shooting that the concert would go ahead as planned.
Following criticism online, it suddenly revealed its cancellation.
Latest updates on the tragic incident
According to Copenhagen Chief Police Inspector Sren Thomassen, the three victims were a 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, both Danes, and a 47-year-old Russian man.
Two Danish and two Swedish citizens were among the four others who received treatment for gunshot wounds. According to Thomassen, they were in critical but stable condition.
Furthermore, a 22-year-old man arrested nearby the scene has been charged as a suspect and is set to be questioned by a judge.
