HBO’s Game of Thrones is one of the most phenomenal series out there, and its prequel, House of the Dragon, was just released yesterday to the joy of awaiting fans. This series is set 200 years before the events of its predecessor and will focus on the ‘House of Targaryen’.
The prequel is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Blood and will take on an unpredictable form of narration as the story is being told by a historian within Westeros.
While there have been mixed reviews on the first episode, it is definitely a show that is going to serve some quality content. To the disappointment of many, there have not been too many dragon appearances in the first episode. However, fans are looking forward to much more in the coming episodes!

House of the Dragon is set exactly 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). The series occurs during the fictional war called ‘The Dance of the Dragons’. The war breaks out due to the feud between two Targaryens to sit on the Iron Throne. House of the Dragon will focus more on the Targaryens while the Starks and Lannisters take a backseat!
House of the Dragon will be aired on HBO at 9 pm PT/ET and also streamed on its platform. Viewers in the Middle East will have to have an early morning, with the show airing at 5 am on OSN (Dubai time). Don’t forget to set that alarm for next Sunday!
