Pinch me and tell me I am dreaming, because John Legend just tugged on the biggest heartstrings yet! The video for Legend’s song “Wonder Woman” premiered on YouTube Wednesday, Sept. 14, following the drop of his eighth studio album, LEGEND, which was released last week.
John Legend is winning at love
The heartfelt video—which features a montage of the R&B singer, 43, along with his wife, Chrissy Teigen, 36, and their two children, Luna, 6, and Miles, 4— is a dedicated “tribute to the power and grace of women,” according to a press release.
What makes the video so romantic, is the visible Tuscan landscapes in the background together with its dream-like sun and zoomed-in shots to make viewers feel the gaze of how John Legend looks at his wife. The video was shot by filmmaker Nabil Elderkin, who originally introduced the couple to one another and directed the record-breaking romantic video for Legend’s 2013 hit “All of Me.”
The touching homage was released on the American power couple’s ninth wedding anniversary of John Legend’s marriage to the cookbook author since they tied the knot in 2013.
In the song, with a touchy melody and soft tone of voice, The Voice judge praises his wife’s good-hearted values and all-round awe and respect he has not only to Teigen but making it a general ode to all women around the world that’s able to bare motherhood, professions and be caregivers at the same time.

As usual, Legend‘s new album isn’t short of songs dedicated to his wife. Last week, the cookware designer pointed out that one of her favorite song is; “I Don’t Love You Like I Used To.”
Teigen admitted that the title threw her off at first, but once listened the depiction of the sweet message becomes an ode to the maturity their love has grown into after so many years of ups and downs.

Legend and Teigen are currently awaiting the arrival of their next child after the Chrissy’s Court alum revealed last month that she currently is currently expecting a rainbow baby following the tragic loss of their son Jack back in 2020.
And in the best Teigen fashion ever, she posted to her millions of fans in iconic Gucci underwear, filled with that pregnancy glow, that she now has another bun in the oven after undergoing IVF treatments, and that so far everything is going well with the pregnancy.
“Joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she wrote via Instagram in August. “So far everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.”
The song comes at a time when women’s rights in America are under threat, as political decisions hinder the ability of women’s choices, but Legend is the light at the end of the tunnel as he sings not only to women around the world but represents men who stand by them.
