Operation Fortune Middle East Movie Premiere 2023

Fans and movie enthusiasts flocked to Dubai Mall, Reel Cinema to watch Director Guy Ritchie, Actor Jason Statham and Rapper Buzgy Malone at the premiere of their new film; Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.

The new blockbuster movie depicts multiple genres of spy, action, adventure, mystery, thriller and in true Guy Ritchie style, comedy. The storyline follows spy Orson Fortune, played by Jason Statham, and his team to stop the sale of deadly weapons threatening to disrupt a world order with the help of a Hollywood Actor. In each hurdle they must overcome, we see stunning locations around the world including Turkey, London and even Doha, where a lot of the action shots were filmed.

Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Bugzy Malone, Hugh Grant, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes and Peter Ferdinando are just some of the main protagonists in the film, and they played each role with class and humour. Hugh Grant as Greg Simmonds, a billionaire arms broker, carried the film with his character portraying a comedic villain, bringing fresh, authentic and gripping storytelling to the whole narrative.

The film premiere launched in the Middle East on the evening of March 5th with Guy Ritchie, Jason Statham and Bugzy Malone walking the red carpet. Jason Statham wore an all-matching, chic navy-blue coloured suit, Guy Ritchie in a casual cerulean blue blazer, white shirt and khaki-coloured trousers, and Bugzy Malone with a fitted sky blue half-opened shirt and beige chinos showing off his well-earned muscular biceps.

When asked how they were finding Dubai, Ritchie replied “we’re having a lovely time, and had a warm welcome.” He continued to say “I have learnt so much about Dubai that it was about time we came over here as we are big fans of the region.”

When asked about his set experience, Jason Statham said it was quite “disorientating the way you have to learn your set dialogue and knowing your lines, making sure you’re not going to flummox everything.” He complimented Audrey’s performance in the movie saying “she’s one of the silver linings in all of the film – She’s so quirky, funny and glamourous.” He also said he “couldn’t single out any one of her scenes as they were all really good,” showing the team’s support and appreciation of each other’s work throughout the production.

Before the press conference was over, Guy Ritchie gave his last statement about the film, telling us there is a “balance between mistakes and humour.” He said it was about “being clear about the identity of what the film is and trying to get the different components of conspiring concepts with one another so they feel it’s ultimately being made by a film-maker.”

Crowds gathered to take pictures, and videos and get their autographs before purchasing their tickets or attending the private screening. The film is now released worldwide and is available to watch in cinemas now. Watch the official trailer below:
