Are you an influencer who is constantly traveling around the GCC or is looking to expand into neighboring markets like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or Bahrain?
Well, this government proposal could make your life a whole lot easier.
GCC-Wide Visa
Nationals from the GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE) are already free to travel visa-free across the region. Which makes the GCC border-free for nationals from the six states concerned.
This could now be extended to GCC residents as well, meaning expats living in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and beyond would be able to travel visa-free to other GCC states in the same way.
This would mirror Europe’s Schengen zone, which is a border control-free travel area for people that also provides the free movement of goods and services within the European Union.
Meaning that, in the same way, that an expat living in Spain could cross the border into France without a visa, a British national living in the UAE could cross the border into Saudi Arabia visa-free under the new proposals.
The proposal was discussed in a meeting between representatives from all six GCC nations.
HE Fatima Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, Kingdom of Bahrain, Undersecretary HE Abdulla Al Saleh, Government of UAE, and Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO, Saudi Tourism Authority (STA).
All of whom welcomed the proposal and responded to it positively.
Influencers can tremendously benefit from this proposal as it will make it easier for them to travel and create content in new areas, as well as, collaborate with influencers and brands from other countries, and tap into new markets.
