Shahid Kapoor Breaks Silence: Only Married Men Will Understand

Shahid Kapoor’s witty comments make headlines along with his killer looks in new release…

Shahid Kapoor in Bloody Daddy

Bollywood’s temptation Shahid Kapoor is already making headlines with his latest Bloody Daddy trailer drop – a long-awaited sequence. But, Kapoor is hitting the charts with yet another witty comment on his choice of dark films.

At the Bloody Daddy trailer premiere, Kapoor was asked why he chose these gritty screenplays. His response: I have been married for eight years. I cannot take out frustration at home, so I go on the sets and take it out. Farzi (web series) was a warm-up and now this (Bloody Daddy).”

Early this year, in February Shahid Kapoor made his OTT debut with Prime Video’s hit series Farzi. The web series hit new national records by being the most-watched Indian SVOD of all time.

Bloody Daddy’s trailer was released on Wednesday, which saw Shahid channeling his inner John Wick and performing jaw-dropping stunts all in the course of one night. The trailer gives a glimpse of the intense, intrinsic action-heavy film which is miles away from the previous chocolate boy image of the actor.

Summary:

He is a troubled man, mixed up with corrupt police. Sumair will go to any lengths to preserve the one relationship that truly matters to him, fighting one fateful night against drug lords, a crime boss, murderous narcs, and straight cops while imprisoned in a kingpin’s lair. As Gurugram’s white-collar drug pins share a shaky new normal at a post-covid party apocalypse.

Talking about the action sequences that he is indulging himself in, Kapoor recounted in an interview, “It was a lot of fun. I had a great time doing an action film, I really enjoyed working with Ali. He understands the genre very well. The dilemma now is that if you’re doing something of this scale, on OTT, what do you do on the big screen? So we have to figure that out, it has been a blast,” the actor said.

Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia, and Vivan Bhatena.

The film is set for a direct digital release on Jio Cinemas on June 9.
