Not just that, the app also caters to different interest groups among the audience, making it easier for people to find content they like.
During the past few months in quarantine due to the ongoing pandemic, users have continued to create content and grow their following. The consistency and dedication to the app has led to growth and helped thousands of users gain sponsorships, brand collabs and partnerships and contracts with reputable talent agencies.
In recent news, TikTok had released a new feature called ‘The Creator Fund’, hoping to aid passionate content creators on TikTok who are hoping to obtain a potential livelihood though the app. There are multiple creators who have significantly blown up due to their content, including the kindest face and cooking enthusiast in the vegan community @iamtabithabrown, 16-year-old dancer @charlidamelio, fashion and style enthusiast @wisdm8, etc. to name a few.
The TikTok Creator Fund was introduced to further support creators in monetary terms. The US fund starts at $2 million which will later be dispersed throughout the year.
This extra source of income proves to be a blessing in disguise for creators in need of some extra financial help for themselves and their families. However, to attain this fund, users must be 18years and older, must be consistent with their content that adheres to the given community guidelines and meet a certain number of base followers.
