Tik Tok is currently at an all-time high, garnering millions of users globally. As creators and brands have stepped their foot into monetizing their content, both parties seek new outlines to remain relevant and engaging. The organization Vidmob recently conducted a study analyzing over 1,400 TikTok video advertisements on the platform.
The advertisements that were run between January to September had accumulated over 5.4 billion reactions, defining what has swayed the audience. Based on this study, Vidmob’s recent webinar shared key tactics users can apply for promotions and campaigns. Check them out down below:
BRAND AWARENESS OBJECTIVE CAMPAIGNS:
1. Boosting Expressiveness
According to the study, estimating a 6-second view rate, starting a video with heavy emotions such as excitement or surprise tends to yield 1.7 times higher views.
2. Multiply the text speed
As opposed to when text is presented slowly, which leads to smaller viewership. They recommend displaying 5-10 words per second to garner more views.
3.Music is the key component
Audio only with music on advertisements deems to increase viewership, as it led to an increase of 51% compared to voiceover with music or only voiceover.
4.Original Audio tracks
The study reveals that custom audio on Tik Tok advertisements leads to an increase of 52% instead of content with a certified track.
5.Limit close-up shots
Compared to the subject’s face taking up 20% of the frame rate, it is recommended that the subject’s face fills less than 20%. This leads to a 31% increase in click-through rate.
6.Eliminate direct eye contact
Research shows 1.7 times increase in click-through rate when the video subject looks away from the camera for less than half of the video’s duration.

Vidmob reveals a 3.3 times higher conversion rate when the subject shows more than four emotions compared to showing less than four.
10.Begin with a call to action
They recommend that a call to action is really responsive as it increased the conversion rate by 44%.
