Are you tired of checking like counts on your Instagram account? Don’t worry – Instagram earlier launched a feature in May that lets you hide the like counts in your post. Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri asserted the importance of the feature by highlighting the negative implications such as stress and anxiety that Instagram users face due to like counts.
To hide like counts for your Instagram profile, you can toggle on the settings prior to uploading the post. The Hide Like Count feature when enabled shows the post likes as “Liked by (an account) and others” instead of the number of likes on the post.
You can follow these steps to use the Hide Like Count feature:
- Tap on the three dots at the top right corner
- Click on “Hide Like Count”
On the other hand, you can also like counts of other users for your Instagram profile. To enable the hide like counts for other users, follow these steps:
- Go to settings
- Click on “Privacy”
- Navigate to the “Posts” tab
- Toggle “Hide Like and View Counts”
