Palestine is a land rich in culture and creativity, and the Palestinian people have a rich history of producing artistic and creative works that reflect their struggles and their resilience. Despite the challenges and obstacles that they face, Palestinian creatives continue to thrive and produce works that are both thought-provoking and inspiring. In this article, we put together a list of 10 Palestinian creatives both in Palestine and from the diaspora, that you should follow in 2023

Saint Levant

Marwan Abdelhamid aka SAINT LEVANT is a Palestinian artist. Born in Jerusalem, and raised in Gaza, Saint Levant fuses English, French, and Arabic to bring a truly unique take on modern global music. His song ‘Very Few Friends’ was released in November 2022, and received around 2 Million streams on YouTube in less than a month. The English, Arabic, and French-mixed rap went viral on TikTok and Instagram in no time, making it a Gen Z reels-favorite.

Lana Al-Beik

Lana is a Syrian/Palestinian influencer, filmmaker, and model. She lent her face to an array of campaigns for esteemed brands including Rami Al-Ali, Saint Laurent, and Burberry, among many others.

Noor Elkhadi

Noor is a  Florida-based Palestinian influencer, model, and podcast host. Her weekly podcast show titled “Arab-American Psycho” features guests from all over the Arab diaspora to discuss a range of topics such as identity, feminism, motherhood, and more.

Larissa Sansour

Larissa is a Palestinian artist who uses photography and film to play between the real and the imaginary. She made it to solo exhibitions from Copenhagen and Beirut to Liverpool and Cardiff.

Shukri Lawrence

Shukri is a fashion designer and founder of the streetwear label Trashy Clothing. The subversive designer challenges Arab stereotypes and identities with his DIY approach mixing camp and kitsch aesthetics. 

Yasmeen Mjalli

Yasmeen Mjalli is a Palestinian designer and the founder of Ramallah-based label Nöl Collective. She creates pieces rooted in equity-centered design, placing the welfare of the producers, artisans, and embroiderers involved at the heart of it all.

Faissal El-Malak

Faissal is a Dubai-based Palestinian designer. He draws inspiration from artisanal crafts across the region, including fabrics from the Medina of Tunis and cotton jacquards of Upper Egypt. He was also the winner of the 2017 Vogue Arabia DDFC Fashion Prize in the women’s ready-to-wear category.

Leena Al-Ghouti

Leena is a Candian-Palestinian model and influencer who has quickly become one of the UAE’s most beloved street style stars since she started her account in 2017.

Maria Al-Sadek

Maria is a Palestinian-Puerto Rican influencer and model. Thanks to her 418,000 Instagram followers, she has been able to work with a number of prestigious brands including Giorgio Armani and Marc Jacobs.

Zaid Farouki

Ziad is a Palestinian and Dubai-based designer. He creates art and apparel that celebrates Palestinian culture and identity. His work is an innovative blend of traditional and modern styles that represent the multifaceted nature of Palestinian identity. His heritage is often the inspiration for the traditional Palestinian motifs in his work.
