LinkedIn introduces new profile links and newsletter options

Read on to discover how you can use these profile links to draw attention to your content.

Users asked and LinkedIn answered! The world’s largest professional network on the Internet has finally introduced a new option that allows users to add a link to their profiles, along with brand new newsletter display options.

To give a preview of the new link feature, social media expert Matt Navarra shared the good news with creators with the following tweet, showcasing how to add your custom link and what it will look like on your profile below your username and description.

LinkedIn creators now have the opportunity to promote their content by generating clicks, seeing that the link placement is optimized and will draw more attention from your profile’s visitors. In addition, one can look at this new feature as a free promotion tool that both LinkedIn users and creators can use to put their content forward and drive traffic to it.

In addition, after spending considerable time writing newsletters, the platform’s users are now also capable of ‘advertising’ them and sharing their links in the ‘Featured’ section of their profile, which will also include an easy-access ‘subscribe’ button to attract more and more sign-ups.

The latest newsletter feature is an extension of the newsletter option in Creator Mode that LinkedIn had previously introduced last year, which allowed creators to send out push, in-app, and email notifications to their followers to keep them up to date with their latest content. With the optimization of newsletters on the platform, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more creators adopt a regular posting schedule.

To help users get started with newsletters, LinkedIn has also published a useful guide that takes them through a step-by-step tutorial on how to write, publish and even delete this form of content.

It can be said that the networking site is doubling its efforts to make the platform even more user-friendly and even encourage creators to publish their content on it more often. Through the introduction of such optimizing features, LinkedIn is on its way to becoming the top choice for content creators around the globe.
