The Announcement
In his latest message that Mark Zuckerberg posted, he wrote:
‘Announcing two AI research capabilities built on our foundation model for image generation, Emu. Emu video generates high quality videos from a text prompt and Emu Edit can precisely alter images based on text inputs. We’re working on integrating these creative editing capabilities into video and photos for Facebook and Instagram.’
Emu Edit
With AI ever-evolving, those who are invested in technology will use AI to better their platform. In 2022, Meta went from posting images to adding video generation in just a few months and now, they are slowly introducing Emu. Emu is the first foundational model for image generation. Right now, the Instagram editing features give you filters and allow you to change the background. Meta AI will adapt its features with image editing based solely on text instructions and a method for text-to-video generation based on diffusion models.
