We have put together some ideas and inspiration for you to create your own podcast studio in the comfort of your own home using the best platform there is for it – Pinterest. Pinterest has a variety of posts that are uploaded daily on anything and everything.

Take a look at the top design ideas so you can start building your own podcast studio in your living room, kitchen table, and even your bathroom (as long as it’s aesthetically pleasing please 👀).

The Girls Bathroom

‘The Girls Bathroom‘ is a podcast that is popular on YouTube with 32K subscribers. The room set-up features a pink sofa (very girly), white curtains, a neon light (love that detail), pink backlights, and of course professional microphones.

On Air

Clearly, there is a theme here with the neon lights and we think it is a great added touch when building a home studio. If there is one thing you should invest in, it’s that!

Sofa Set-Up

If you’re going for a casual, light, and bright set-up, then take a look at this home studio. Again, it is set in the living room with peachy sofas, one camera, and a shelf in the back with home accessories. It looks cosy and slightly like “home and garden” type podcast.

Dim The Lights

Now for something quite moody – of course, it depends on what type of living room style you already have at home, but you can make it look like anything with lights. Take a look at these velvet blue sofas with a black wall, the sofas are highlighted with lights placed at the top of the cameras.

Around The Table

Similarly to Red Table Talks by Jada Smith, you can create exactly the same with your round dinner table or coffee table at home. Remember, you don’t need such a large space, it’s what you do with the space that matters.

Work Desk Turned Podcast Studio

If you have a work desk, then why not utilize it? Create a work desk that by day you can use for meetings, and by night it becomes a whole new set-up. All you have to do is add a microphone, and make sure the background is aesthetically pleasing (or add a neon light to switch it up).

Neon Vibes

With so much talk about neon lights, we have to entitle these Neon Vibes. Again, we have the round table, blue and pink lights, and the main white light in the front focusing on the speaker and guest.

Let’s Talk

If you don’t want to use a big sofa in the frame, then use two chairs or two one-seater cosy sofas. The blue lights create a completely different mood.

Retro Vibes

One thing that we can see throughout the pin ideas is the use of professional microphones in the frame. Adding technical mics, it elevates the professionalism of the podcast – something to think about.

Brick Walls

Do you have a feature wall in your home? Use it! It will be the perfect feature for you podcast as it already creates character and creativity to your home set-up design.

Bedroom Comforts

If you don’t want to use your living room space, or dining table, then take it into your bedroom. This is great for personal topics, or deep diving into lifestyle subjects as the bedroom is a place of relaxation. You want your mood to be the same as your topics. If you’re talking about rock music and your bedroom is baby pink with Barbie dolls in the back (yes, we said dolls), then it might not work. There should be synergy between the set-up and subject.

Book Shelf Background

Again, we can’t drill the topic of aesthetics enough. Book shelves add character to a setting and it helps if you include books that symbolise you and your interests. Jay Shetty recently did a podcast with Kim Kardashian, and in the back you can see quite clearly a lime green book with the title ‘Virgil Abloh – Icons.’
