Twitter is going crazy over *this* brand collab and it isn’t for good reasons

Twitter is hating and here’s why.

The sportswear retailer Adidas recently launched a new brand collaboration with Italian luxury fashion wear company, Gucci.

The collaboration launched a luxury football boot in the style of loafers, worn by famous celebrities like David Beckham & Diego Maradona and are totalled for a price of 3.5K AED.

Twitter does not approve…

Customers were swift to mock the unusual shoe and Twitter had a field day with users expressing their opinions!

One user wrote:

“When you’ve got a 9-5pm job but football training at 5.30pm”

Another went on to say:

“Truly horrid”

The loafers are designed for men and are built to have a low heel, as well as, the Adidas logo on the heel and soles.

This is not the only and first time the two fashion houses have partnered together, they’ve launched a slew of items, which include custom-colored Adidas Gazelles, tracksuits, hats and bags.

The brands details that they were “pulling inspiration from the Creative Director’s memories of the ’80s and ’90s, emblematic House’s motifs mix with those of the historic sportswear brand adidas resulting in a series of hybrid looks.”

Although we’re not entirely sure where you’re expected to wear these football boot loafers (dinner? the pitch? not at all?) the overall success of the entire collection has seemed to be a success with the other products.
