Sereni-tea means the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled (usually accompanied by a cup of healing tea), and therefore this new branch located in the heart of Umm Sequim, is the perfect nest for tea lovers and those wanting to detox from everyday life.
Nestled among the lush and zen grounds of Keyani – a wellness center offering holistic treatments and yoga – Sereni-tea offers visitors a uniquely calm and serene environment. It is a place where visitors are encouraged to practice self-care through the power of tea and by eating mindfully through the nourishment of gut-heating, anti-inflammatory ingredients and supplements helping to fight environmental stressors and increase your own resilience.
The interiors, which are unlike the pink flagship spot, offer a hygge vibe with neutral, earthy, and pastel shades throughout. The concept of the teahouse as a whole reflects tranquillity in addition to being an influencers and creators’ haven with its instagrammable look. With the digital world creating a big impact on where we go and what we do, Sereni-tea has researched the market and understood both the assignment of switching off and switching on.
Founder Tania Lodi led the design of the new space, opting for a statement sage and terrazzo coffee bar and chic terrazzo tables throughout the space, custom-made by @thelineconcept. Behind the coffee bar hands a notable neon sign with Sereni-tea’s logo and dotted around the café are dashing dried flower arrangements, all created by @callow_dxb. With a love for supporting local brands, the Scandi and Nordic ceramic cups and vases you will find are from the dutch brand @hkliving, acquired by @urbannest.ae.
As a homegrown café, everything is made fresh and in-house with the idea to nourish your mind, body, and soul with Sereni-tea’s mindful menu. The menu is designed to cater to anyone and everyone who enters as inclusivity is an important objective of the café. Whether you are gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, sugar-free, or dairy-free, there is something delicious for everyone. Tania Lodi shares “I hope to offer up a space with inclusive offerings that show that gut-healing, anti-inflammatory dishes can still be fun and flavourful. Serenti-tea was created as an escape for those needing a break from the daily grind.”
This is the perfect spot to visit on your holidays or on the weekend for lunch with your family, a coffee-catch-up with friends, or for inspiration when “working from home.” You must keep an eye out for Sereni-tea’s mascot, the no drama Llama which is bound to be one of the many fluffy friends on site as the patio and garden is pet-friendly. The team encourages love and adventures with your pets during the cooler months for the ideal escape.
