Although the couple rose to fame and fortune rapidly, over the years they have received immense backlash with various allegations and scandals being thrown their way.

Who is The ACE Family?
The ACE Family is made up of Austin and Catherine McBroom and their three young children, Steel, Elle, and Alaia.
When they initially started their channel in 2016, the couple had just welcomed their first daughter Elle and therefore with their initials put together they created the YouTube Channel The Ace Family.
Austin McBroom was a former NCAA basketball star who had played for St. Louis, Central Michigan, and Eastern Washington Universities before meeting Catherine. Â
Catherine at the time worked as a model for a few brands and was friends with famous model and DJ Chantel Jeffries, which gained some public attention.
Their YouTube journey
In a relatively short amount of time, the ACE Family channel has become extremely popular.
It reached 1 million subscribers in 2017, just a few months after starting their journey and the same year the couple got engaged.
The content they produced were funny pranks against one another, relatable videos of their daughter growing up and engaging challenge videos.
The following year, is when things really began taking off for the family. They had earned over 10 million subscribers and well over 2 billion views on their videos.
The family made money on YouTube through ad revenue, merchandise sales, and sponsorship money, which is a typical approach for the YouTube creator community.
Their business strategy to success…and controversy
In 2022, the ACE family is estimated to be worth around $22 million. The YouTube channel generates approximately $8,000 per day and nearly 1 million views per day.
Although the predominant stream of their income comes through their YouTube channel, the couple made other investments and business ventures outside of the video-sharing platform to sustain their wealth.
In 2021, Catherine became the founder of a skincare brand ‘1212 Gateway’ providing consumers with clean, animal-cruelty free and organic products.
Moreover, they have a website where they sell personalized merchandise, by the name of ‘The Ace family’. Where fans can buy hats, hoodies, t-shirts and much more with their branded name.
In 2019, the McBrooms invested into real estate and combined two mansions to construct a mega-mansion. Their house is valued at $7.456 million.
They allegedly stopped making mortgage payments on their home and were under major public scrutinty for a few months, as legal documents were leaked and depicted a foreclosure.Â
In recent years, as the worldwide Influencer boxing phenomenon continues to grow, the couple saw this as a lucrative business strategy and held a boxing event in 2021 called “Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms.”
6 YouTubers, including McBroom, and 6 TikTokers stepped into the ring , with the intended goal of raising millions of dollars.
However, the event did not manage to meet the target goal of the amount of Pay’s Per View that Austin had expected and many fighters had come out to say they had not been paid the amount they were promised, thus sparking a legal battle.
