Wizkid shut down Gamers 8 Esports in Saudi Arabia with an unforgettable performance

The first African artist to perform at Gamers 8 in Saudi Arabia.

Gamers 8 Esport is one of the biggest gaming events in the world and this year ends on the 8th of September in Saudi Arabia. With incredible artists performing on stage, the audience was thrilled with an energetic performance with Nigerian fans celebrating their pride of seeing the Nigerian musician doing what he does best.

Fans on social media, especially Twitter, shared tweets of Wizkid’s performance saying it was the ‘best performance of the night.’

Wizkid is one out of the 10 artists to perform at the event, and according to the organisers, the Saudi Esports Federation, more than 1,000 activities are also part of the program. Some of the activities include epic concerts, comedy shows, and even magic performances to get everyone engaged and on their feet.

As it is predominately a gaming event, the world’s best players will be coming together to compete across huge titles including Rocket League, Dota 2, Fortnite, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and PUBG Mobile. There are international teams plus qualifiers from the Saudi-based Gamers Without Borders, the world’s biggest charitable Esports festival.

The Saudi Esports Federation are focusing on 4 key pillars, and they are professional esports, festivals, music, and the next world summit. Hosting the event is The Boulevard Riyadh City, with the area buzzing with gamers and fans.

This is a huge milestone for the world to see the first African artist to headline at such a big event in Saudi. The Afrobeats artist and Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter performed his popular songs and went viral online as fans loved seeing his performance over again online.
