Gracie Abrams gave fans a sneak peek of her upcoming music on TikTok, sparking excitement in the comments including from Olivia Rodrigo.
In the video shared by the That’s So True artist, she grooves to a demo with her face cropped out of the frame while a friend dances in the background. “It’s intense how much I need you,” Abrams sings in the synth-heavy track.
Shortly after, Abrams shared another clip of herself in the car, playing the same snippet hinting once more that a new project might be coming. The Los Angeles artist hasn’t officially released new music since The Secret of Us deluxe edition dropped last October, featuring the Billboard Hot 100 track “That’s So True.”

Abrams and the artist behind Drivers License have supported each other for years, with Abrams previously serving as the opening act on the Sour Tour in 2022. The Risk singer expressed her deep appreciation for the experience in her April Billboard cover story, telling writer Hannah Dailey, “She gave me such an incredible opportunity, letting me open for her I’ll cherish her with all my heart, always and forever.”
Rodrigo also shared with Billboard at the time, “Gracie has a truly unique voice when it comes to songwriting.”
“I think it’s uncommon to be so young and already have crafted a distinct style,” she continued. “You can listen to a song and immediately recognize it as a Gracie Abrams track, even if she isn’t the one singing. That’s incredibly special and a true reflection of her talent and impact.”
