What do we know so far about Saudi Idol?
Filming for the program is scheduled to start in October and is set to air in December. The goal of the program aims to give exposure to local talents, mainly in Riyadh, but not limited to the specific region for residents to participate. Although the focus will be placed on promoting localness the main televised language would be Arabic to create awareness of the region’s beloved Arabic music, although like all internationally renowned artists the more talents and languages you show off the better potential you advertise yourself as the next winning Idol.
And like all shows, sometimes it’s the star-studded judging panel that lures viewers to watch in the first place. For Saudi Idol, there will be a four-member jury that constitutes of; Saudi singer Aseel Abu Bakr, Emirati singer and actress Ahlam, popular Arab singer Asala (Syrian), and Iraqi-Saudi singer and composer Majed Al Mohandis.
An incredible jury who we can’t wait to discover the next diamond in the rough. Stay tuned as we will provide you with a step-by-step guide with tips and tricks from some of the world’s best artists to set yourself apart and stand out from the crowd.
