Here’s more about the young influencer and her journey into content creation in an exclusive interview.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself

A: I am a 20 year old content creator who is also a student. I am the youngest in the family which kind of builds my whole personality. I have always loved doing things that would challenge my creative side whether it comes to extracurricular or my job which is content creation.

Q: How did your influencer journey begin? Was it planned or unexpected?

A: I started creating vlogs initially on YouTube because I was inspired by a lot of creators, and then moved on to using TikTok which was more for fun. However, TikTok did make me fall in love with creating short form content and when TikTok got banned that love still stayed. I continued making videos on Instagram and all of this happened during lockdown.

I never planned on being a content creator. I initially just started because I loved being creative and making videos was just one of the ways I could show it to the world. Having said that, becoming a creator is definitely one of the best things to happen to me.

Q: What is your favourite platform to create content?

A: My top two platforms have to be YouTube and Instagram because these are the two apps that I started on. Their existence is the reason I can today connect with so many people all over the country and be a part of this beautiful community.

Q: How do you manage classes along with a full-time job of being an influencer?

A: It’s definitely not easy. There are a lot of sleepless nights but time management is what kind of gets me through it. One thing I’ve learnt while trying to manage all of this together is that even if you plan everything to the T, things will always change and it’s not going to go according to your plan. Somedays will be easy while others won’t, but I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be able to do all of this without the super strong team I’ve got at Monk-e and my manager Kaavya.

Q: Could you tell us about your new podcast, Tea with Tarini? What is your goal going into podcasts?

A: I launched Tea with Tarini as a podcast on my 20th birthday which was on 15th of August. I always knew I wanted to start one and we were always waiting for the “right time” to start it and realised what better time than me being in my 20s. This is when I will be making some of the biggest decisions and mistakes of my life, so why not share my story with everyone who might be going through the same thing.

My goal while going into podcasts was to connect at a much deeper level with my audience and build a stronger community. Every time I used to share anything close to me on my Instagram stories, I always saw people replying to it and talking to me about their own personal stories and that is when I felt super connected to my audience. This is the exact same experience I want them to have when it comes to my podcast.

Q: While Makeup and Fashion are your strong points when it comes to content, what other categories would you like to create content in?

A: I love to create comedy/relatable content every now and then because what in the world would be better than bringing a smile on the faces of your audience.

Q: Who inspires you and why?

A: I might sound cheesy but it is my family. Everyone in my family has a different story of their own and being the youngest in the family I’ve heard a lot of their stories and seen them go through the highs and the lows and learnt many lessons along the way.

Q: What are your goals before the year ends?

A: When it comes to content before the year ends, I have a numerical goal of half a million but more importantly, to be consistent with my content and grow a stronger and tight-knit community.
