If you haven’t heard of the 24-year-old YouTuber MrBeast by now, then you really need to get with the times. This content creator, influencer, entertainer, magician, and all of the above’s content is non-other than greatness.

With 130 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, MrBeast has been called the greatest YouTuber of all time by many people who are fans of his and those who are in the social media industry. In fact, his content is so good and has helped so many people, that he has even listed himself, all of the achievements he has been able to do is a creator, in his About section.

Curing 1,000 blind people
In MrBeast’s latest video that he uploaded on his channel, it was titled 1,000 blind people see for the first time. Within 2 days, there have already been 58 million views with over 200k comments and it’s trending #2 on YouTube.
The video shows MrBeast curing 1,000 patients who are blind as well as gifting a few of them thousands of dollars or gifting them a car. There are many emotions that run throughout the video as one man sees his son again after years of not being able to see his “features” and breakdown after the surgery and his son walks into the room.
If MrBeast is doing such an amazing act of kindness that people could only dream of doing, then why is he getting slammed online for his good deed?
Sponsorships & Viral Content
Firstly, let’s get the trolls out of the way. With every content creator and influencer, there are always people that post negative comments and this comes with being on social media and the world of social media. But, if we filter through other comments on the video, other suggest that MrBeast is doing this either by using sponsors or paying from his own pocket just to create content. To make a video go viral or explode online, there has to be something unique about it that makes people want to click and watch all the way through. “Click-bait” content basically which is something MrBeast is a pro at.
But so what? Even if MrBeast is doing this “stunt” for the views, then it’s a win-win situation. MrBeast gets the views, and someone’s life has changed forever. Not everything has to always be about creating content – we need to be in a world where influencers and content creators with such a big platform can use it for good rather than spending it on things that so not matter. MrBeast is a great example to younger children and those who are already on social media, to use your platform to inspire others even if it is through edutainment.
