Gault&Millau UAE will reveal its 2023 ratings in April 2023 at an exclusive gala ceremony.
The limited-capacity event will be held at Dubai’s iconic and Instagramable Burj Al Arab Jumeirah on the evening of April 27. Those in attendance at the private event will also be the first to receive the second edition of the prestigious Gault&Millau UAE guide. The full list of restaurants included in the Gault&Millau UAE 2023 guide will be revealed on Wednesday, March 15, at which point tickets for the Gala will go on sale.
Gault&Millau UAE’s team of independent, anonymous investigators visited more than 200 restaurants over the past nine months to determine which venues will be included in the guide and what their ratings will be.
As well as the second year’s ‘toque’ ratings being announced, there will also be awards for individuals and restaurants from across the UAE’s gastronomic scene. During the landmark event, top chefs will create a specially curated menu for guests, alongside paired fine wines.
Tickets are limited. For further details and ticket prices, email gala@gaultmillauae.com.
Gault&Millau UAE’s 2022 success stories
In June 2022, Gault&Millau UAE held its inaugural Gala and guide release, also at Burj Al Arab. It saw the first Gault&Millau award winners being crowned, as well as the ratings revealed for 130 restaurants that made it into the 2022 guide.
There were 200 of the UAE’s very best chefs, restaurateurs, and industry leaders in attendance for the glittering event.
Atlantis, The Palm’s Ossiano was named Restaurant of the Year, gaining three toques and achieving an unmatched 15.5 out of 20.
The restaurant’s Grégoire Berger was named Chef of the Year, too, while Moonrise’s Solemann Haddad won the Future Great Award. There were also individual awards for Sustainability Champion, Restaurant Manager, and more.
Three restaurants received three toques, while seven were awarded two toques and 34 received one. You can find all the reviews of restaurants in the inaugural guide here.
