Messi’s big-money move
The Argentinian professional footballer, Messi is turning 36 this month and has been linked to a lot many rumors circling around his big Saudi move. His decision to join Al Hilal stirred controversial claims that it was a money move or he was justifying his rivalry with Ronaldo, and so on.
The world champion has cleared the deck to make a return to Spain with La Liga clearing the hurdle between Barcelona and Messi. La Liga gave the go-ahead to FC Barcelona, and then the Barcelona officials put up a financial viability plan to bring back Lionel Messi.

Messi’s father and agent, Jorge Messi had a meeting with Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta at the latter’s home on Monday. The decision is still pending but the news is all over the social media speculating the player’s decision to return.
“Leo wants to return to Barcelona and I would also like him to return. We trust that Leo can return,” Jorge quoted.
“It’s not easy, but we’ll see,” said Joan Laporta last weekend talking about the financial aspects of having Messi back. He also mentioned that they will do everything in their power to bring the player back to Barcelona.
“I would really like to have Leo back. He knows it, I’ve spoken to him,” Barcelona coach Xavi said. “It would be spectacular, not only for me as a coach but as a fan as well. He is a spectacular player who could help us in so many different areas. But it’s his decision and I will understand it no matter what happens.”
Messi’s last game
Lionel Messi played his last match over the weekend for Paris Saint Germain (PSG), it was potentially his last game in Europe. Fans gave a mixed reaction, some disheartened and booing over the match. Messi played his last game over the weekend and will become a free agent on June 30.

Messi has earned the respect and place he is in today, he arrived in Barcelona at the age of 13 to try his luck at Barcelona’s youth academy. He was the top scorer in the Spanish League in eight seasons and the top scorer in the Champions League six times.
His 26 goals against Real Madrid are a record for the “Clasico” matches against Barcelona’s fiercest rival. He is titled the World Champion for a reason.
