It is much easier than it sounds! The first direction our imagination takes upon hearing ‘setting up a shop’ is something time-consuming and full of instructions. Quite the opposite, setting up an Instagram Shop can take you less than 48 hours.
Instagram launched it’s in-house shopping feature back in May 2020, right when the lockdown was about to begin. This gave creators the freedom and kick-start to explore a new territory. Maybe even hidden potential they had. Ever since this feature first launched, about 10 new features and to enhance your shopping experience have been added.

Third Step: Connect your Facebook page
Step Four: Download Product Catalog
It’s a “do it yourself” method that you can find inside Facebook Business Manager or it is an integration through one of our authorized e-commerce platform partners such as Shopify or BigCommerce.
Step Five: Complete the Account Review
Once you’ve linked a product catalog to your Instagram account and added products to the catalog, submit your account for review by following these steps. Account review usually takes a few days but can sometimes take longer.
Step 6: Turn on the shopping feature
Once your account is approved, you can turn on the shopping features.
Note: If you don’t see Shopping in your settings, it’s possible that your account is still under review or that your use of Instagram Shopping hasn’t been approved.
