Snapchat fans have made it clear they really dislike the new redesign.
Users have been asking for Snap Inc. to bring back the “old” Snapchat. Over 1.2 million people have signed a change.org petition, expressing their wishes for the Story-sharing platform to go back to its old user interface.
Despire everyone hating the redesign downloads of the app are on the rise.
Huh?!?
According to TechCrunch, downloads in the U.S. went up 41 percent to 76 percent in the week following the redesign’s roll out on Feb 6th, in comparrison to weeks before the launch.
The app jumped from 7th in US app store charts to 2nd just days after the redesign was rolled out.
It seems like everyone hating on the app has encouraged more than a few people to download it.
Clearly, people are curious to see what all the fuss is about, especially if beauty mogul and mega influencer Kylie Jenner is expressing her dislike for the redesign.
sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad.

But the negative buzz could be a good thing for Snapchat.
Last month, it reported strong Q4 earnings and despite Jenner’s tweet (which caused Snap Inc. shares to drop), the app has continued to stay on top of app store charts.
“Even the complaints we’re seeing reinforce the philosophy,” Snap Inc. CEO and Snapchat Founder Evan Spiegel said at a recent conference. “Even the frustrations we’re seeing really validate those changes. It’ll take time for people to adjust, but for me using it for a couple months I feel way more attached to the service.”
