Instagram has been rolling out some pretty cool new features lately.
Less than a month ago the Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform introduced IGTV and shoppable Instagram tags.
And last week it quietly launched a new question and answer feature, that many users have been keen to try out within their stories.
Followers now have the ability to ask their favorite influencers – or anyone who chooses to use the new feature – questions on their Insta stories. An influencer can then choose to answer the question within a new story post (or simply ignore it).Â
That’s right, you can ask anyone anything on Instagram!
The downside? The new Instagram question-asking feature is not anonymous.
Yo I didn’t know those ig questions weren’t anonymous and I told someone their head was shaped like an almond

Um, what?!?
It seems that some users of the new feature didn’t get the memo that their identities would be revealed to the story’s creator.
According to The Insider, “Some users learned a little too late that their questions were attached to their names.”
Whoops!
Naturally, a few Instagrammers took to Twitter to vent their embarrassment and frustrations . . .
Me asking on instagram: did you and ur gf break up yet?

Considering Instagram’s poll feature is not anonymous, it shouldn’t surprise users that the question-asking feature also reveals their identities to the story’s creator.Â
Be sure to think twice before asking anyone anything on Instagram. #nowyourknow Â
