We really hope it’s not a temporary technical glitch, but it *looks* like WhatsApp users in the region will finally be able to make video and audio calls to one another.
Though no official announcement has been raised, a number of users on social media have woken up to find the previously prohibited calling service is now available on everyone’s favourite messaging platform. And yes, that seems to include international WhatsApp calls, too…

Boom – you’ve probably just saved some money on your phone contract… How long this will last however, remains to be seen, with as little as half an hour ago the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced there is no change in the country’s Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) policy….
