Rumors started in January about the smartphone being in the works started when Bytedance acquired a number of patents and talent from phone-making company, Smartisan.
Despite the phone still being under the Smartisan brand, most of the features and updates shared will be dedicated to Bytedance’s TikTok platform making it the perfect phone for superfans on the app.Â
At the moment, the smartphone is only available in China and selling at 2,899 yuan or $412 with up to 256GB of storage and four cameras.
