LinkedIn is Rolling Out Free Online Courses

With the COVID-19 pandemic amidst the human race, LinkedIn has released a response on its platform in order to make working from home easier for those quarantining themselves from the outside world, according to Social Media Today.

In order to keep LinkedIn members up-to-date and informed regarding news about COVID-19, it has outlined a variety of steps this week by including broadcasts from the World Health Organization. These broadcasts include live daily updates and “scaling its events platforms to enable companies to reach audiences virtually”, according to Social Media Today.

LinkedIn has introduced and created a new feature entitles Trending News, which highlights verified and reliable updates from experts from the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as mentioned by Social Media Today.

The new format of updates from LinkedIn’s platform regarding the Coronavirus information stream was recently spotted by reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong, who took to Twitter and posted screenshots of the format.

“In the coming days, we will make 16 LinkedIn Learning courses available for free including tips on how to: stay productive, build relationships when you’re not face-to-face, use virtual meeting tools (Microsoft Teams, Skype, BlueJeans, Cisco Webex and Zoom), and balance family and work dynamics in a healthy way,” LinkedIn said, in a recent blog post.

LinkedIn will continuously provide and evolve its in-step course program in order to ensure its memebered are kept informed and the platform is prepared for its users, according to Social Media Today.
