"Tuned" App for Couples Launched by Facebook

Facebook has placed its focus on making interactions between couples smoother by giving them their own, private space with this new app its NPE team has launched, according to Social Media Today.

The new application is called “Tuned”, it is an application of a couple-centred space where users can share more private engagements than they would on other public platforms, as initially reported by The Information.

“With Tuned, you can be as mushy, quirky, and silly as you are together in person, even when you’re apart,” according to “Tuned”‘s description on the App Store. “Creatively express your love, share your mood, exchange music, and build a digital scrapbook of your special moments.”

Tuned’s platform will be providing the ability to connect user’s Spotify account to share songs, send custom, sticker clad photos, leave notes and allow users to stay connected with their partners in this dedicated application, according to Social Media Today.

“Tuned” is the fifth application launched by Facebook’s NPE team since it has been announced in July 2019.

The other four NPE applications are:

  • Hobbi – a Pintrest-like application where users collect images of creative hobbies as well as sort them into board for users to track their personal developments.
  • Whale – this application allows users to create memes with the use of simplified templates and tools
  • AUX – this is a participatory DJ application. This is where users can try to put their song onto a group playlist.
  • Bump – a chatting application which aims to introduce students to others within their vicinity
