With more and more platforms having incorporated digital avatars, it looks like Twitter is doing something similar but in their own style.
The social media network is testing out a new integration, that allows users to display their Bitmoji character as their Twitter profile image.
This implementation would essentially create a direct link between your Snapchat profile, in which you create your Bitmoji character, and Twitter, which could be the first time the two platforms collaborate on a deep integration of this type.
Bearing in mind, that Snapchat has been working to make its Bitmoji characters a larger part of the in-app experience, recently they launched a line of high – end Bitmoji clothing to give users personalized ways to express themselves.
As you can see in this example, by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, you can easily do this by clicking the ‘Add Bitmoji’ button which then will directly link your Bitmoji account.

This new update, that is still in testing, seems to be well-recieved by users online.
One person commented on Twitter “That would be really awesome”.
Another person stated “It’s such a good thing”.
So it looks like it’s no surprise more and more social media network platforms will be adding personalized experience on their platforms as we move towards the metaverse shift globally.
