Theatre of Digital Art is welcoming impressionists this March at Souk Madinat in Dubai and already the exhibition has accumulated a lot of interest. We wanted to study more about impressionism and look at it from an astrological point of view. Firstly, impressionism is about the violation of academic painting rules. We could say that we have some nasty boys in school who are not afraid of reflecting ugly and scary indicators of the individual’s feelings with all nakedness that make a human identity unique on the canvas. This is the most distinctive aspect of expressionism. Each work of art can be considered as the outward reflection of each artist’s feelings and sensations.
When it comes to analysing we ask, why now? Why these artists? So let’s examine their birth charts with the spirit of time today.
- Edouard Manet is a rising 28° Leo with opposing Jupiter Aquarius from the same degree.
- Pierre-Auguste Renoir is rising Aquarius with Moon, Pluton, and Venus conjunct in Aries.
- Claude Monet’s birth hour is unknown, so we only know that his north node is in Aquarius.
- Edgar Degas is also a rising Aquarius; Sun is 26° in Cancer.
- Henri Rousseau is another one with rising Aquarius with 27°.
- Henri Toulouse- Lautrec is a rising Scorpio 15° whose ruler, Mars is in Gemini.
- Gustav Klimt’s birth hour is also unknown, with Venus and Uranus in Gemini with a Cancer Sun.
Let’s check what we have in the sky now, then.
- Pluto in 29° in Capricorn opposing last degrees of Cancer.
- Saturn is in 29° Aquarius with Mercury beside.
- Mars is in Gemini around 19°.
- Uranus is in 14°Taurus opposing Scorpio from the same degree while squares the Leos and Aquariuses.
Once our charts get the touch from transiting planets, our names get the attention again, even though we are not there in the flesh. It doesn’t matter that 150 years have gone. Kronos (Saturn) is the Lord of Time holding hands with Hermes (Mercury), who can talk with dead people; they are helping us see these prominent pieces with today’s eyes.
Aquarius- Leo opposition makes us question ‘what was art for?’, ‘what is the meaning if it’s not timely?’, ‘what is the use if we can’t relate?’. And Zeus ‘Jupiter’ adds value to what those artists tried to achieve in an entrepreneurial sense.
All written aspects about painters display a character who says the unsaid and tells the most profound emotions with vulnerability. The cardinal signs give the strength to think out of the box, and Aquarius qualities give the acceptance of other beings but with respect. This exalts the mind, yet never mind what others might think. This prioritizes the profit that the reason will bring.
All these precious rebellious Artists are again not afraid of being different, being reinterpreted as today’s art piece as NFT, which again is a quality Aquarius would bring.
When we check the paintings on display, we see ‘The Luncheon on The Grass’ depicts a nude female with two dressed men having a picnic in a rural setting; ‘Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette’ depicts a Sunday afternoon in Montmartre in Paris; ‘Woman with Parasol’ is a memoir of Madame Monet and her son; la promenade. ‘In a cafe’ depicts what we could have seen in a French cafe in 1875; ‘At the Moliun Rouge’ depicts a self-portrait of the artist in profile in a crowded cabaret again in Paris. ‘Kiss’ depicts love and merging the individual with eternity. The latest one is ‘the Dream’, which tells a woman’s jungle dream, which’s set is inspired by the self-taught painter’s visits to Paris; this piece of art stands as a step from impressionism to surrealism when we consider the artist’s time and friends.
After this examination, we all think; that those scenes need free thinkers to be drawn. And today is again the day we talk about people’s values and beliefs while accepting others by not being afraid of others. So this exhibition is like a reminder from the past with today’s essence to carry us to a future, maybe with some enlightenment.
And to add, this is the mechanism of how our prenatal charts work. All of us are capable of some things at some level. And we notice them at the ages of 24, 33, 45, 52, 66, 104, 156…. Or some other people will see for us 😊 So we are responsible for everything we are doing at the moment, and we can never know what is getting ready for us ahead to pop up… hope we all notice the signs that are talking to us of the life path that we walk on.
