Pop singer Britney Spears and her Husband Sam Asghari are reportedly going through a divorce after Sam accused Spears of cheating.
14 Months of Marriage
In 2016, the couple began dating after Sam worked with Britney on one of her music videos. 7 years later and after the #FreeBritney movement, Sam popped the question to Britney Spears in September 2021 to be his wife to which they shared a picture together sharing the news with fans.
After the couple had tied the knot in a dream fairytale wedding, the couple appeared to be happy and continued with their normal day-to-day lives.
The Split
A source with direct knowledge of what happened between Britney Spears and Sam told TMZ that Sam confronted Britney over rumors she stepped out on him and cheated. Although it is said to be just a rumor, the couple took it seriously which resulted in a big fight.
Sam has reportedly moved out of the family home and is now isolated on his own. Online the couple seemed happy and Sam was supportive of his wife, but behind closed doors, we are unsure of what the situation really was. The conversation is now on Sam filing for divorce so the couple can live their separate lives after years of being together.
Britney Spears has protected her assets as she signed a prenup during the marriage, however, Sam may ask for financial support from Britney.
Neither Britney nor Sam have commented on the split, and just a few hours ago, Britney uploaded a post on Instagram. She appeared to be fine and talking about plans of buying a horse, smiling in her picture yet turned the comment section off.
