Disney fans have something to be excited about as The Little Mermaid is finally out in cinemas worldwide. The cast of the film has been touring around, and we have been learning more about the protagonist Halle Balle who plays Ariel as well as what went on behind the scenes.
In the second week of release, the film was said to have made a splash at the box office earning over $300 million. Halle told interviewees she was asked by the director Rob Marshall to sit and watch the film on her own without anyone with her. She said in the first few minutes of the film, she had tears streaming down her face as she thought of herself as a singer and artist, but to see her acting too was “cringe but also a proud moment” for her.
Not getting enough of the movie, Halle decided to disguise herself with a face mask and sunglasses, and sit and watch the film in the movie theatre with everyone else. Halle uploaded the video on her TikTok page with 2.9 million followers, with the video reaching 10.9 million views.

The real Little Mermaid fans are praising Halle for her disguise and also commenting on the lady in the back who is taking a selfie with the poster. “Lol the mom in the back is like “wait ima take a pic with Ariel” when Ariel is right in front of her walking lol I would die she said hi to me lol 😂” said one person.
The 23-year-old first auditioned to become Ariel when she was 18 she stated, and now with the success of the film, she relishes in the moment and sharing her gratitude with the rest of the world. In one of Halle’s TikTok videos, she gets emotional showing everyone an Ariel doll that looks just like her with her mole, hair, and tail that can dip into the water. Halle says “it looks just like me” as she tears up staring at the plastic dolly.
