Jake Paul ruins the sport of boxing by getting personal with Tommy Fury & Molly Mae

Social media sparks up again as Fury & Paul announce their fight date. Should Jake Paul stick to being a YouTuber?

Jake Paul gets personal in his announcement about his fight with Tommy Fury and involves Molly Mae

Once again, the Paul brothers are making headlines and not in a positive light either. Logan Paul was trolled on Twitter for his scam allegations and now Jake Paul has said some things online which have become personal to Fury and his girlfriend Molly Mae.

Entertainment VS Personal

When it comes to a boxing match, there are a few events that happen before fight night itself. As boxers come together for the weigh-in, press nights, and face-off, a lot is said, but mainly for entertainment and to get the audience and viewers going before the fight.

Just recently, Tommy Fury and Jake Paul finally announced their fight happening on Sunday 26th of February 2023 in Saudi Arabia. The news has gone viral online but fans and followers of the Love Island couple have picked up on Jake Paul’s caption.

Announcement Ruined

Jake Paul posted the flyer on his Instagram page with the caption ‘After multiple failed attempts to get Tommy Fury in the ring, the moment of truth has finally arrived. Fumbles has no excuses now. Baby is born. Money is massive. Immigration is not an issue. Sunday February 26, Paul vs Fury is live on ESPN+ PPV in the US and BT Sport Box Office in the UK. Tyson Fury has promised he and Papa John will make Tommy retire from boxing and change his last name forever if he can’t beat the YouTuber. Saturday (tomorrow) I’m coming to London to look at all three Fury’s in the eye and shake on that promise. Alhamdulillah!

Putting aside the fact that Tommy’s brother and father “promised” Jake this, Jake did the disrespectful act of announcing the birth of Tommy and influencer girlfriend Molly Mae child before the couple did. This has taken the sport of boxing over the line by getting involved or talking about a couple or family that is unrelated to the sport of boxing and using it for his own personal gain.

Has boxing become just about the money now? Or should it get stricter and make YouTubers work for the title of boxer for a few years before they can get in the ring? Are there any rules to boxing? Should there be? Let us know your thoughts by tweeting us @itpliveme.
