After suffering from abuse from her ex-husband Turner who she also performed with, Tina Turner turned her career into a global phenomenon and is today, known as a music legend.
Tina’s spokesperson said “The ‘Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”
The singer was known for her most famously known for singing the songs The Best, Proud Mary, and What’s love got to do with it. Altogether, she had 17 video albums, 46 music videos, 72 singles, and 2 soundtrack albums.
Tina Turner’s performances were always electrifying on stage as she had so much energy, keeping the audience entertained with her voice and iconic moves.
Sir Mick Jagger, Sir Elton John, Diana Ross, Bette Midler, and Giorgio Armani were among the first to pay tribute to Turner.
Sir Elton John wrote on his Instagram caption “We have lost one of the world’s most exciting and electric performers. A total legend on record and on stage. She was untouchable. Condolences to Erwin and her family. The saddest news.”
