The most expensive cars

We imagine the most expensive cars in the world offer what can only be described as an experience, a once-in-a-lifetime journey that cannot be compared to anything else. Now imagine what it would be like when you actually get to put your foot on the gas pedal and just go.

Here are the highest-valued cars as of 2023:

10. Bugatti Divo – $5.8M

Bugatti was able to continue its success with the Divo, a car that has several similar features to the Chiron. However, the Divo has a much lighter frame and a top speed of 236 mph (380 km/h).

This car ranks number 9 on the most expensive cars in the world, at a whopping 5.8 million US dollars.

9. SP Automotive Chaos – $6.4M

SP, short for Spyros Panopoulos, a newcomer on the block is making a lot of noise. Greek automotive designer Spyros Panopoulos has released two ultra cars using some of the most advanced materials in the world, one of which costs 14 million US dollars.

8. Pagani Huayra Codalunga – $7.4M

The Pagani Huayra Codalunga is a very special, very limited edition by Pagani. The vehicle features a very iconic long-tail shape similar to 1960s race cars and is valued at 7.4 million US dollars.

7. Mercedes-Maybach Exelero – $8M

It’s hard to create a good quality car that will withstand any crazy conditions you put it through. This is why Mercedes was commissioned by Fulda, a German subsidiary of Goodyear, to test its new tires. This created the Exlero, which debuted in 2004. Unfortunately, that also means this was a one-off.

The topmost speed this car can go to has been listed at 218 mph (350 km/h) and adjusted for inflation, the Exelero would cost more than $10 million in today’s money.

6. Bugatti Centodieci – $9M

Bugatti debuted the Centodieci in 2019 at the Pebble Beach car week, showing off yet another ultra-rare, super-expensive model to the world. Limited to just 10 units, the car celebrated Bugatti’s momentous 110th anniversary. Each of the 10 units has been sold, one of which was sold to football star Christiano Ronaldo.

The Centodiece car’s unique styling and high price of 9 million US dollars makes it an extremely exclusive car, if not one of the most exclusive cars in the world.

5. Bugatti Chiron Profilée – $10M

This car is literally one-of-a-kind. Bugatti built the Profilée initially as a test for a limited run of models, but this Chiron ended up being the only one made. The Profilée costs 10 million US dollars, has unique bodywork, and a custom spoiler, all of which help separate it from the rest of the range, making it even more exclusive.

4. Rolls-Royce Sweptail – $13M

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail does a fantastic job of mixing modern with old design features. This means fan-favorite characteristics from the classic Rolls-Royce silhouette have been combined with the latest innovation and technology.

At the time of its debut, this car used to be the most expensive car in the world but now sits at number 4 on the list, which isn’t so bad either because it’s still a jaw-dropper.

3. Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta – $17.6M

This car is named the Barchetta because, to Horatio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili, that’s what it resembled: in Italian, a ‘little boat’. Coming at number 3 on this list, the car costs 17.6 million US dollars.

Its frame is entirely formed of carbon fiber for an ultralight body and zippy, speedy feel; it’s blue-tinted, it has a minimized windshield, and it stands only some 21 inches tall. In other words: it’s beautiful.

2. Bugatti La Voiture Noire – $18.7M

In 2019, Bugatti made a branding decision for their latest supercar to opt for a restrained, minimalistic, and instantly iconic title: La Voiture Noire. This literally translates to The Black Car. The car costs 18.7 million US dollars, solidifying its second position on this list.

The sleek, carbon-fiber shell of this car is fantastic, and there’s no other car like it. The vehicle boasts an impressive maximum velocity of 260 mph (420 km/h), a testament to the precision engineering of a renowned automotive company known for its decades-long history of producing some of the world’s most powerful and high-performing automobiles.

1. Rolls-Royce Boat Tail – $28M

There’s no debate about this car. It’s gorgeous, unique, and extremely exclusive. With only 3 units ever made, the car features elements of a J-Class yacht as well as those of the original 1932 Boat Tail.

The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail made its public debut at Italy’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in late 2021. And while Rolls-Royce doesn’t officially announce pricing for one-off builds such as this car, rumor has it that the Boat Tail cost $28.0 million.
