With over 930 million professionals across the world, registering their CVs and posting about career establishments on the site, LinkedIn has proved to be a valuable source for headhunters, career professionals, and job seekers. In an attempt to drive engagement, LinkedIn has changed its steady path and tone from an unadventurous career updates billboard to an emotional storyteller.
Erasing the boundaries between personal and professional lives, the professional social networking platform LinkedIn has redirected its algorithm to highlight more personal stories now. We have noticed in the past few months that our LinkedIn feeds are flooded with short or long personal anecdotes, people sharing their thoughts and life stories on the platform supporting and inspiring each other.
But Not Everyone’s Liking It!
Critics are blabbering about LinkedIn saying that such stories are more suitable for weekend musings on Facebook or lazy scrolls on Instagram. Maybe the squawky tone of Twitter can justify the personal stories and stir movements from there on but this “Less Professional” LinkedIn with oversaturated feeds isn’t what they are looking forward to before bed.
Microsoft’s integration with LinkedIn and using its database for a content creation model has seen the light in the past few months with constant AI updates on the platform. All the professionals need from LinkedIn is a community for business updates, a series of press releases, and collaborations to satisfy their appetite for knowledge.

LinkedIn Strongly Disagree
Avoiding professional humor and blabbering about productive work hours, LinkedIn is promoting long or short stories with emotional touch and people are loving it. A little adventure in its approach was risky but yielded good results and LinkedIn updated user map tells it all.
LinkedIn continues to add users across the world with Asia and North America leading the race with over 220 million users. We agree with the fact that it’s better to be unproductive during breaks than to be productive during work hours.
Gentle reminder: You need to be unproductive during breaks to be productive during work hours 😇

Don’t question your presence on LinkedIn just yet, because LinkedIn has got something more convincing on its way. Now you can maximize your reach as a content creator and expand your network and audience on LinkedIn using some AI-integrated features on the platform.
That’s correct! LinkedIn announced some new features two months ago and is living up to the promises it made. The features were in a must list among users and LinkedIn does make it more interesting to drive engagement for content creators.
- Post Scheduling
The most desirable feature was to schedule posts on LinkedIn like other platforms, especially for social media managers who wanted their content to be promoted from the platform.
Now you can schedule a date and time for your posts on LinkedIn beforehand, and also you can edit the publications after scheduling to give users more control.
- AI Writing messages to hiring managers
Letting AI draft a customized message to the hiring manager, isn’t it exciting? LinkedIn has made it easier for us all.
AI can take information from your profile, the hiring manager’s profile, your resume, and your job description. Will compile the data and draft a personalized message. Reducing your burden right?
- AI-generated captions for your videos
LinkedIn will write captions for the videos you upload. However, this feature is only available in English currently but is still doing wonders and is very helpful for people with visual impairments.
- Creator Analytics dashboard
Not only focusing on their engagements, but LinkedIn is also working on helping creators boost their engagements by offering a Creator Analytics Dashboard. Don’t forget to activate that creator mode to access the update.
- Personalized job collections
After all, LinkedIn is all about providing assistance for those looking for jobs, and it will all be inconsiderate and incomplete without helping users seeking jobs find one. The new update for personalized job collections will show opportunities based on your profile, values, and interests. They will even appear when you aren’t actively looking for a job.
- Adding text descriptions to images
LinkedIn has updated an Alt Text option in their campaign manager to give a better understanding of the images you come across while scrolling. Plus, it is also a way to help visually impaired people get a hang of what’s in there.
In terms of Parry Headrick, PR Agency leader and founder of Crackle, “Engagement is about telling a compelling story. Your parents didn’t read you a press release at bedtime, they read you stories.”
“LinkedIn isn’t Facebook!”

Agree. It’s way better.
