A movie biopic blockbuster M.S. Dhoni starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Disha Patani, and Kiara Advani released in the theatres on 30th September 2016, was based on India’s most successful cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The iconic movie familiarizes the journey of the Indian Captain from a young age to a series of life events from his ticket collection job to playing for the Indian cricket team.
The sports drama directed by Neeraj Pandey is all set to be re-released on 12th May 2023. The re-release aims to give a tribute to the late Bollywood actor and M.S. Who is re-releasing the iconic movie?
M.S. Dhoni was originally produced by Fox Star Studios and the movie received the widest release ever for a Bollywood film across 61 countries. Upon release, it became a critical and commercial success as the 5th highest-grossing Bollywood film and the 6th highest-grossing Indian film in 2016 worldwide with a box office collection of around ₹215.48 crore (US $27 M).
Last year, Fox Star Studios (the original producer of the iconic movie in 2016), rebranded to Star Studios to back back both theatrical release and direct-to-digital premiers. The most popular hits by Star Studios include Neerja, Chhichhore, M.S. Dhoni, etc.
