Taylor Swift announced in August that she is releasing a concert film “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour” which will open in theaters this month. But is it screening in the UAE?

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film
Taylor Swift’s The Eras tour, which kicked off on March 17 in Arizona is the singer’s sixth concert tour. The tour celebrates Swift’s entire career and is a journey through all of her musical “eras”, with songs from all ten of her studio albums. It is her most expansive tour yet, with 146 dates across five continents.
Unfortunately, one of those stops has not been in the UAE.
However, the next best thing could be coming to the UAE, as the pop sensation has a concert film coming out soon to celebrate the success of the tour.
“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift said on social media channels.
The movie will play in more than 100 countries from Friday, October 13, and in 13 more destinations from Friday, November 3. However, it has yet to feature on cinema listings in the UAE.
What is Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film about?
Much like the actual concert tour, the movie will celebrate the singer’s career and all of her musical “eras”. The film is essentially a recording of the concert taken from the first three nights that the American singer-songwriter performed at the SoFi Stadium in California in August.
While the movie will not contain the entire tour setlist, as the concert is over three hours, it’s still going to be a great experience for those who could not attend Swift’s tour in person. Pre-sale tickets for the film have already surpassed $100m globally (before the movie has even been released).
Prices in the US have been higher than usual for movie tickets. An adult ticket costs $19.89 ( “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” is coming soon) and child tickets are priced at $13.13 (seemingly a nod to her favorite number).
The film comes to cinemas worldwide on November 3rd. Meaning UAE residents still have hope of a future announcement.
