The 2023 Cannes Film Festival has witnessed Saudi actors and Arab designers effortlessly command attention and leave an indelible mark on the silver screen. Find out the stars and designers spotted during the festival.

Amira Al Zuhair

On the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival, Saudi model Amira Al Zuhair made a fashion statement by opting for a distinctive pink dress made by Arab designer Rami Kadi.

Al-Zuhair displayed a corset-style off-the-shoulder dress with a full skirt during the 76th iteration of the famous festival.

She also attended the premiere of “Jeanne du Barry,” which was Johnny Depp’s comeback movie after a well-reported defamation trial with ex-wife, Amber Heard.

She received support from Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival for her attendance.

Al-Zuhair, a French-born and Saudi woman, shared the opening ceremony details with her 46,000 followers on Instagram as she expressed her joy. She emphasized the significance of “Jeanne du Barry” as the first international co-production between Saudi Arabia and France.

Elie Saab

As the 78-year-old actor was honored with a Palme d’Or award, Michael Douglas entered the Grand Theatre Lumiere with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, and their daughter Carys. Zeta-Jones and Carys both wore dresses from Lebanese designer Elie Saab from his Spring/Summer 2023 collection, with Zeta-Jones donning a red dress with a plunging neckline and Carys donning a white gown with a transparent overlay.
