Instagram is now 10 years old! To mark the wonderful occasion, the app introduced a few features and updates for their dedicated users. From visual additions to eCommerce tools, Instagram truly treated their users.
Instagram recently updated the platform with an entertaining collection of variable icons for the app similar to iOS 14’s new feature inspiring users to spend hours customizing their home screens according to their style! Multiple users have already expressed their admiration for the new icons which include the classic logo present back in the day!
Users can easily access this feature by updating their app to the latest version and tapping the ‘Settings’ icon on their profile and dragging the main menu’s screen all the way down which will reveal the hidden icons!

In addition, the app also introduced their ‘Story Map’ feature that provides an inside look at the various locations from where you have previously posted your stories within the app using the Location Sticker. From travelling around the world to exploring cute cafes and secret hideouts with your friends, users can now view the stories they have posted from different locations in the past!

Another recent feature drop is the ‘In-stream Shopping for IGTV’. This feature displays a shopping bag icon on the IGTV video of a creator who applies the shopping tags within the video. Instagram highly supports the growth of eCommerce with their ‘Shop’ feature on creators’ profiles, the ‘Support Small Business’ sticker that helps with effective promotion of smaller companies and now the latest in-stream shopping feature.

The In-Stream shopping feature could potentially smooth things over on Instagram, especially with the growth of small businesses, creators and influencers who inspire viewers to purchase things they are fond of themselves.
