Tik Tok tests the feature "Learn" to boost educational content on their feed

Tik Tok has been testing the feature “Learn” to further expand its educational content on the platform. This develops as an extension to the #LearnOnTikTok program announced earlier this year.

Social Media industry commentator and consultant Matt Navarra posted a screenshot on his Twitter about these latest developments. Further sharing that testing the “Learn” stream of videos means users can switch feeds from Following, For you, and Learn.

The platform back in May stated: “We’ve partnered with over 800 public figures, media publishers, educational institutions, and real-world professional experts who’ve been affected by the effects of this global pandemic to bring learning material to TikTok.”

Additionally, expressing that they are “humbled” to provide this platform to many trained experts, nonprofits, and educators who can leave a huge impact on educating those that turn to these platforms during the Covid-19 pandemic. The #LearnOnTikTok program was introduced to make educational content accessible to students during the lockdown.

The experts featured as a part of this collaboration vary from Bill Nye, science expert, and TV personality. José Andrés, a culinary pioneer and author. Lily Singh YouTuber and Late Night TV host. Neil deGrasse Tyson, the space expert, and finally Tyra Banks businesswoman, model, and TV personality.

As the app is constantly associated with controversial issues, their initiation to push more educational content for their demographic, who are generally more teens, is a bonus. Parents can now be a little less worried about the social media platforms’ perils.
