Twitter is testing a new feature called ‘Communities’, which enables the audience to share tweets with selected and topic-based groups of users. “Some conversations aren’t for everyone, just the people who want to talk about the thing you want to talk about. When you join a Community, you can Tweet directly to that group instead of to all your followers. Only members in the same Community are able to reply and join the conversation so it stays intimate and relevant.”

On September 22nd Twitter Communities commented, “We’ve been testing with a handful of Communities BUT we expect new ones to be created on a rolling basis. if you haven’t been invited by a moderator or member yet, you can still check em out with the links below”
