With over 10 match days down, the Premier League season is getting heated up, and football lovers are having a great time following the games. It is the perfect time to be a Gooner as Arsenal finds itself on top of the standings chart. Having said that, players from several other clubs have been making note-worthy moves this season. Whether it is style or tactic, these footballers have succeeded in making the sport look effortless. 

League Debutants this season have been beyond exceptional, with Manchester City’s Haaland topping the list. From Ronaldo scoring his 700th club goal and debutant Nunez hitting form as Liverpool seeks to climb the table, the season has contributed memorable moments to football history. Here are the top 8 debutants showing us what passionate football looks like!

Erling Haaland

Having already scored 15 goals in his debut Premier League season, the Norwegian footballer has caught everyone’s attention. The talented player has also been shortlisted for the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards 2022 alongside Benzema, Messi and Ronaldo. Son of the former City player Alfie, Haaland is considered one of Europe’s best strikers and a master at scoring goals!

Lisandro Martínez

The United centre-back is another talented player that has contributed immensely to the club this season. Martínez is an Argentine footballer who began his career with Newell’s Old Boys before joining Defensa y Justicia. Playing a crucial role in enhancing United’s defence this season, Martínez has overcome criticism he’s faced regarding his height as a centre-back player. With Manchester United making its way up the charts, it is exciting to see skilled players part of the line-up.

Darwin Núñez

The Uruguayan player’s career is up and running, having already scored two goals for Liverpool in his debut season. The footballer plays striker for Liverpool and the Uruguayan national team. Liverpool has splashed out a transfer fee of £85m for Núñez, and he is, without a doubt, a valuable addition to the team’s front line.

Antony

Being the most expensive signing by any club in the summer transfer window of 2022, Antony is one footballer to watch out for this season. The 22-year-old Manchester United player won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics with the Brazil under-23 team. Antony is the first United player to have scored in the first three games of his Premier League debut. Following Erik ten Hag to United, Antony is an exciting debutant this year. 

Casemiro 

Manchester United’s no. 18 has not disappointed in his Premier League debut, with coach ten Hag praising his growth as a player: “Casemiro is now at the side of him, and we see him developing and proving why we signed him. He is growing from game to game.” Casemiro is also a Brazilian defensive midfielder who plays no. 5 for the Brazilian national team.  

Manuel Akanji

Manuel Akanji plays defender for the Premier League club Manchester City. With more tackles than any other Manchester City player during the club’s match against Southampton, he is one of the most inspiring footballers to watch out for this season. The 27-year-old Swiss player joined Man City in September 2022 for his Premier League debut.

Alexander Isak

The Swedish footballer, Alexander Isak, plays forward for the Premier League club Newcastle United. He is the youngest goalscorer for the AIK and the Sweden national team. Isak started his career at a very young age, playing for a youth team at the age of 6. If you are looking for some football talent, this 23-year-old footballer is the player to go to.

William Saliba

Saliba’s debut this Premier League season has contributed immensely to strengthening Arsenal’s defence. The French footballer, with two goals to his name after ten matches this season, is a centre-back for Arsenal and the French national team. After his debut match, the media has commended him for his “”unruffled and virtually faultless” game.
