10) “He’s a 10, But..”

This trend became popular in the middle of June however accounts making new and creative takes on the trend are still blowing up. It is filmed to a sped up version of “He’s Mine” by Mokenstef. The “He’s a 10” trend refers to how people rate others on an attractiveness scale from 1-10. The trend always begins with “He/She’s a 10, but…” and is followed by a turn-off or cringe trait or habit in which someone else will answer with the new rating after hearing the information depending on their opinion. The trend can also be reversed to where it starts with a low number followed by a great trait or habit. This trend was also trending #1 on Twitter on June 22nd.

9) Audio by The Caretaker but Happy

This trend has just begun very recently however continues to grow in videos daily. This is where there is an uplifting tone at the beginning of the video where the creator will illustrate a situation. At the end of the audio, there is an ominous tone where the creator will reveal something messed up or unfitting that happened in that situation.

8) Hitting the Table//Basbousa

This trend is fairly open-ended as the creator can choose the caption to anything they enjoy, and the most creative ideas blow up. The video starts by saying the words “Oh My God” along with the audio and then motioning banging the table or wall with a closed fist to the beat. This trend originated from the Arabic sound “Basbousa” but is also popular with one other audio that has the same ability to go viral.

7) Angel Eyes by ABBA

This beautiful melody by ABBA is trending for its lyrics, “Keep thinking…ahhhh sometimes, when I’m lonely, I sit and think about him, and it hurts to remember all the good times.” Though the lyrics are grim, TikTok’s trend has a comical take. Before the beat drops the first sentences begin with disregarding something because it has been a long time since that thing mattered, however it is followed by photos synched with the lyrics to say that the creator loves that misses that thing.

6) “What are we naming our kids?// What’s your favorite color?”

This is more of an upsetting trend, alluding to the feeling of being tired of starting over. It starts with a question like “What are we naming our kids?” or something similar implying that the creator is in a very serious relationship. After the beat drops, the text changes to a stranger asking “What is your favorite color” or a similar question implying that the creator is back in the dating scene. This trend has been blowing up for about a month now and continues to be popular on the app in various audios.

5) Wondering What Would Suit Me

This trend emerged in mid-June and gained large popularity on the app. It begins with a photo of the creator and asks the question “Wondering if black hair would suit me” or another variation of hairstyle. From this first slide, the audience believes the creator is talking about the hair on themselves however the second slide is a photo of the creator’s partner with said hairstyle and the text “it does”. This trend is a very adorable way for a creator to tribute to their significant other and has made many people go viral.

4) “Hey I’m Bloody Jay, I’m an Addict”

This trend is a short video but many small creators have been able to blow up by using this audio from a song by Bloody Jay and Young Thug. The first part of the trend is where the creator says “I’m not addicted to anything”. However, when the beat drops it shows the creator doing something that they are addicted to the lyrics “Hey I’m Bloody Jay, I’m an Addict”. This could be anything from a trait, an idea, or an action.

3) Chiquitita x Benny and the Jets TikTok Mix

This is wholesome instrumental audio that combines two popular sounds on TikTok (and incredible songs individually), Chiquitita by ABBA and Benny and the Jets by Elton John. This trend allows the creator to synch several videos to the sounds creating a euphoric look that is blowing small creators up at the moment. Make it pretty!

2) Adult Swim Intro

Adult Swim has been an extremely popular trend on TikTok for quite a long time now, blowing up a year ago in June 2021. This trend, however, is different audio from the past and is from the beginning snippet of their ads. It entails 6 guitar strokes where the creator adds a word every stroke, the last one being the beat drop. The videos that are blowing up under this trend have a deep meaning or point to make.

1) Cool Kids

And in number 1 currently, we have the “Cool Kids” trend. This trend began in early July and picked up quite quickly due to how adorable it is and the nostalgic nerve that this song by Echosmith hits. The idea of the trend is that the first photo the creators show is a childhood photo, usually of them not looking too cool, to the lyrics “I wish that I could be like the Cool Kids”. The second photo they show is of them grown up and looking amazing to the lyrics “Cuz all the Cool Kids, they seem to fit in”.
