How to make your social media pop for Easter

As it’s Easter weekend, we thought it would be a great idea to put together some ideas and inspiration for you for your social media posts. The origins of Easter symbolise the resurrection of Jesus but stories have developed over the years. Festivities and celebrations of Easter became popular with advertising and marketing materials after the creation of the Easter Bunny. This legendary figure is a clothed bunny who brings chocolate Easter eggs to those celebrating. Although the story is mostly for children, everyone comes together to share Easter eggs and even organise Easter egg hunts in the garden or outdoors on a bunny trail for the family.

We have put together some ideas on how you can make your Easter feed pop on social media this 2022:

  • ADD COLOUR

Colour is always good on the feed. Easter is also during Springtime and therefore florals, pastels and yellow colours pop a lot on social media. If you’re a fashion influencer, then it can be outfit ideas or a static picture of your colourful outfit, if you’re a fitness influencer then dress up like a colorful Easter bunny while doing a workout just for laughs, if you’re a beauty influencer, then create a pastel-coloured Easter inspired looks for your followers to re-create.

  • REEL YOUR DAY

Reels is not only an amazing way to engage with new followers, but it is also a chance for you to get creative with what you’re posting online. Make a reel of your day if you’re having family over and do a “day in the life of…” video. This doesn’t have to be long-form but small snippets of what you’re up to making sure it’s a mix of cooking, family, outdoors, indoors, whatever you’re up to! If you feel even more inspired by this idea then create a longer format and post it on YouTube.

  • FOOD INSPIRATION

Easter is a time of coming together and having delicious food. If you are a foodie or a food influencer then why not create a stunning flat-lay image of your dinner table, adding the colorful elements as spoken about above. Cover your table with flowers, or chocolate eggs surrounding your main food, or do a short video of you mixing flavours together and cooking something exciting for Easter. Everyone always wants food inspiration and therefore creating a step-by-step educational video always works as you’re giving something back to your audience. They may even save it which improves your engagement even more.

  • HOST A GIVEAWAY

As everyone will be celebrating on the day, it would be a nice idea to host a giveaway. This can be either a product from your personal business or a little hamper that you can put together yourself packed with a load of goodies. Not only will it lift the spirits of your followers but you will also gain followers from your giveaway and it’ll make you feel amazing. Giveaways really help to engage with your followers and help with overall engagement on your page.

  • COLLABORATE WITH A BRAND

Many brands will be using Easter as a way of marketing and advertising their products and services so reach out to your favourite brands and ask to collaborate with them. Brands are always looking for ways to get more eyes on their product so we advise you to contact small and big brands and see what response you get – you never know! The more work you do with different brands that are relevant to your niche, the more other companies will begin to contact you for work.

  • HOST A LIVE CHOCOLATE MAKING WORKSHOP

This is a great one for TikTok as you can receive gifts which then translates into money on your live videos. Hosting a live workshop on any social media platform allows those who are alone to not only look forward to something and opens up more opportunities. Everyone always wants to know what influencers are doing and learn something from them so educate your followers this Easter. Try and have a go at making your own chocolate Easter eggs – even if you’re not good at it, it will give your followers a laugh – especially if it’s live!

  • BE CREATIVE

If you’re a brand looking to be more creative then now is the time to do it. Use your imagination and create a cool campaign that will get everyone talking. Even if it’s to promote your service or product then do it in a creative way. You don’t have to go over budget, it could be as simple as the image below. Festivals and celebrations are a way of getting closer to your audience and if not closer then expanding your audience.
