You may have found yourself scrolling through YouTube or TikTok and coming across comedy content, pranks, and challenges, spending hours glued to your screen. If this is the type of content that puts you at ease after a long day, then you must have heard of the Sidemen – the most popular YouTube group on the internet. However, there is another group on YouTube who are making themselves known to our screens.
Who are the Sidemen & why are they popular?
The Sidemen are a group of individual personalities who have come together to create explosive content that they know the internet would love. Made up of seven influencers, the sidemen include KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, and W2S.
What once started off as gaming content, grew to challenges, lifestyle, and roasting sessions! When popular influencers, YouTubers or celebrities do well on their own and then come together to create something, there is a high chance it will do well. That exactly what the Sidemen did and used their personalities to create engaging and entertaining content.
The group is so popular that their videos receive over 40 million views with so far 18.2 million subscribers and a total of 4,970,927,337 views since joining the YouTube platform in June 2015.
Who are the Beta Squat?
There are many similarities between the Sidemen and Beta Squad. Beta Squad is made up of 5 group members which include influencers Chunkz, Niko Omilana, AJ Shabeel, Sharky, and King Kenny with some appearances from KSI and Yung Filly.
If you have watched Chunkz videos, you will see that when the boys come together, there are fits of laughter on-screen as well as laughter from the audience who are watching. The hilarious content is fun to watch, light-hearted, and sometimes leaves us with our mouths open in shock at the unexpected situations they end up in. Beta Squad was created to bring “alpha” energy into one room and for people to follow them on their “mad adventure” through challenges and pranks.

Funnily enough, both British groups; the Sidemen and Beta Squad have created a video together which was posted on Sidemen’s YouTube channel. As you can image, there was a lot of comedy, shouting, games, and light-hearted fun throughout the video. From this video, you can decide who you love from both groups, however, both are equally as good as each other.
