Snapchat is launching new tools to make it easier for creators to collaborate with brands. These tools will provide more transparency in the app and make it easier for both parties to work together. Let’s break them down one by one:

One of the new tools is a Paid Partnership Tag. This tag will allow creators to easily identify their sponsored content as a paid promotion.

This will help to ensure that creators are fully disclosing their relationships with brands and that their followers are aware of when they are viewing sponsored content.

The paid partnership tag is also beneficial to businesses. According to the company, “Brands can then approve the partnership right within Ads Manager, allowing them to see analytics and use the media as an ad.”

This tool is perfect for Influencers in the GCC region, as Influencers who post paid reviews of products are required by law to be honest and say they were paid to review the product. If not, they will be fined.

Creator Midroll Placement for Brands

Additionally, Snap is also launching a new ad placement option, with midrolls for creator Stories. This means short, and paid advertisements can play in between stories.

According to the application, “Content viewership and total time spent watching content on Snapchat is growing year-over-year, and we’re excited to help brands get closer to our most engaged Snapchatters through this new surface.”

Creator Discovery API

Creator Discovery API enables any third-party partner to plug into Snapchat’s entire creator roster for stats like name, username, bio, follower count, and age breakdown to give a better understanding of available creators across each platform.

The new tools are a win-win for both creators and brands. Creators will be able to monetize their content and brands will be able to pursue a valuable brand placement with their marketing campaigns.
