The Leo is all in the mind – Love aesthetics that will make everyone fall in love with your feed this 2023

Take part in our small experiment and see which image you’re immediately drawn to.

Regardless of whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one or friends or prefer to feed your cat and sleep, the day is a powerful marketing movement that many people are part of. Known as the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day is the one day that is known to be extra special as you pull out of all the stops to treat your loved one, or in this modern world, even treat your friends to a romantic night of chocolate and movies all night.

The definition of Valentine’s Day is always adapting as our ideologies grow, but what doesn’t change is the amount of profit it makes companies marketing and advertising Valentine’s Day-themed products or services. The colour red, associated with the day, is often painted over social media with pictures or videos of couples together. But what really makes a picture move?

Aesthetics = Movement

Look at the image below, what are your initial thoughts? Do you have any emotions, or feelings, or even have any thoughts about the picture?

Now, look at the next image – how does that make you feel? How did you react? Did it make you feel something more than the previous picture? Did it make you intrigued, or interested?

Imagine the images side-by-side. Which of the images is you immediately drawn to? Ask yourself why you are drawn to it.

In the world we live in today with more creators and influencers on the rise, the content we produce has to be engaging rather than, well, vanilla. For example, in the above images, yes you can take pictures of lips, but does it make you feel anything? Whereas if I zoom in and pile gloss on top of the lips, does it make you look twice or at least stay on it for a few seconds longer? The amount of information, images, and or visual content we consume per day is immense and therefore when something does capture our attention, it must be worthwhile.

Digital Visualisation

Living in the digital age, our attention span, according to thetreetop.com, is 8.25 seconds, which means if you’re reading this article, you may have skipped passed it already (unless you’re hooked long enough to stay on!) – If we have made you question your feed, then don’t worry, The Leo is all in the mind has some amazing content that will make everyone fall in love this Valentine’s Day.
